Instructions

Although Boxit cases are extremely well built to protect your phone, please bear in mind that your phone is a fragile device and should be handled carefully.

Closing the lid
Insert the connector on the right side of the lid into the slot on the side of the case.
Press the lid down with the palm of your hand (pressing the lid down reduces pressure on the lid hinge and increases product durability)
Close the lid by lowering the lever.

Ringtone level
The ringtone of your phone should be adjusted to maximum before placing the phone in the case. Also make sure that the phone is as close as possible to the elastomer surface and firmly fixed into place. If necessary, use the plastic spring and support pad to hold the phone in place. The ringtone level is loud and clear thanks to the Gore audio membrane. The sound travels through elastomer plastic when speaking into the microphone. This slightly reduces the sound level and it is recommended you speak clearly and louder than normal in order to be heard loud and clear. However, in e.g. windy conditions your voice will be heard more clearly than without using a case, as elastomer protects the microphone from wind interference.

Waterproof case
The Boxit 5 Series case has been given IP67 protection classification, which means that the case provides complete protection from dust and moisture up to 1m deep. When closed correctly, the case provides moisture protection up to 1m deep for 30 minutes.
The protection level of each case is checked prior to packaging. Note, however, that Gore’s audio membrane is a fragile coating and the protection level is at risk when under great or sudden pressure. The case must not, therefore, be sunk deep and used e.g. when diving. A sharp shock against water face down may cause the Gore audio membrane to split and the case to lose its waterproof quality. The case must not be attached to an arm or leg while swimming. We recommend you to avoid keeping the case under water and to exercise caution during its use.

Floating case
The Boxit 5 Series cases can float a maximum 135 g load with a small lid and a 160 g load with a tall lid. Most mobile phones that fit the Boxit will float but due to market-specific differences and varying battery equipment we recommend you ensure that your phone floats in shallow water before use.

Splash-proof hands free plug for small telephones
Remove one of the sealing plugs from the lid. Thread the hands free wire through the hole in the lid, attach the wire’s connector to the telephone and place it in the Boxit case. Set the hands free wire at the base of the soft plug’s groove so that the wire passes through the centre of the plug. With the fingers press the soft plug tightly in the case’s opening so that the plug’s uppermost surface is level with the top of the lid.
Note! The case will be splash-proof only with the hands free plug.
